How Does Working with a Quickbooks Certified ProAdvisor® Benefit My Small Business?
Sue McLaughlin, founder of MBS, has been a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor® since 2007 and a QuickBooks Online Certified ProAdvisor® since 2017. To become a Certified ProAdvisor,® a candidate must demonstrate expert knowledge of both accounting principles and QuickBooks® software by passing Intuit’s certification exams.
Among other skills, Certified ProAdvisor® candidates must demonstrate the ability to manage clients’ payroll, inventory and tax information; set up a QuickBooks company profile; and configure software features to suit the client’s industry and business goals.
Only candidates who pass the certification exam may use the Certified ProAdvisor® title and badge on their marketing materials. To maintain “certified” status, ProAdvisors must pass a recertification exam each year.
It’s important to note that not all QuickBooks ProAdvisors are “certified.” Membership in Intuit’s ProAdvisor program is open to all QuickBooks users, regardless of their educational and professional credentials. Before hiring a Certified ProAdvisor, visit Intuit’s website to verify his or her certification.
